Kintsugi or Golden Joinery is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. As a philosophy it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise or dispose of.

The ebb and flow of the universe over time leads to constant alteration. Transformation, to which all beings are susceptible, could not be clearer than in the breaks, the cracks, the shattering. 

Here we do not attempt to hide the flaws, the empty spaces or the broken, we illuminate them.
